I liked quite a few of Kelsey's pictures she took of the kids over Memorial Weekend and wanted to share them. I put them into a collage form because I liked way too many. Can I Take a Kubota Ride?

Tuesday morning after barely being awake, Hailey asks me "Can I take a Kubota ride?" I say, "Hailey we don't have a Kubota." She says, "I know BUT can we buy one for Edmond?" Ummm... that isn't at the top of our list of things to buy for here I am thinking. I tell her I just don't think so right now but that would be fun.
Then Tuesday afternoon, Hunter asks me to go ride the Kubota. I think they are lost as to where they are living right now!

When we got back, Brady put sleepy Hailey in her bed in our room. Often she will wake up needing to use the bathroom. I think she thought she was still at the lake and got disoriented because she walked right into the closet and I met her coming out with a confused look!

This morning, Hailey woke me up because she had a bad dream. She told me we were taking a Kubota ride down to the water and somehow her bike appeared on a pogo stick and she was bouncing up and down in the water. I tried to reassure her that it was just a dream and to go lay back down. She was very unsettled so she climbed into our bed at my feet and quickly went back to sleep. The Kubota is even making it into their dreams!

Here are a few pictures from Mother's Day weekend. The toads Smokey found in the pool and the kids released them down by the water. See how flooded the beach area is again? Hope it doesn't rise anymore! The pictures of Hailey and I are of her sweet gifts to me. The other one is of Hailey giving Gram Gram gifts and Hunter trying to hand me a heavy container of Rose food for my roses and it spilled. Oops! Thanks for the sweet gifts everyone!

Grammy's Ride

On Friday, Hailey got to hitch a ride with her Gram-Gram back to the lake house from the Tackle Box store. Front seat, top down and in style! Usually they just drive around the circle at the lake house. I think Hailey has been her only occasional passenger!

Egg Coloring

 
I set up the egg station on the kitchen floor of the lakehouse before Hunter knew what was taking place. I loved his big smile when he came around the corner to find us sitting there. It was like he was saying "Hey- who didn't invite me? I'm soooo going to do that!" Hailey enjoyed it as always but wound up coloring the eggs faster as her little brother was helping too. I think next year I will do the egg coloring with just Hailey and I. I have always enjoyed coloring eggs. It can be fun it you let it. I think we stressed Brady out as he was watching. Hunter managed to spill some dye and color only part of his own foot! Brady likes to be clean and sticky free. I could almost hear the thoughts in his head! This is an activity he does not understand. Sorry Brady. He did snap a some cool shots of the pretty colored eggs. There is just something about color on eggs that makes me happy!

Picture Day @ Dance Class!

 

 

Today was picture day at Hailey's dance class. They wore the costumes that they are going to wear for their performance in May. She was dressed up to look like Cruella de Vil. The music is to that song too. They took the pictures in one of the dance studios so I could only capture these shots through the sheers on the window. Actual performance post coming soon!

It's Easter! - April Fool's Video

Hailey has been anticipating Easter's arrival for about a week now. So this morning seeing as it was April Fool's Day, I decided to pull a mean prank on Hailey. After she had been up for only about 2 minutes this morning, I told her that the Easter Bunny had come. She jumped up and down in delight and was super excited. The note on the door said "Happy Easter! I can't come to your house next week so I came today. Open the door. Love, the Easter Bunny". I snapped a picture of her and she had an open mouth happy expression. The picture came out blurry - ahhh! I also missed the jumping up and down and happy comments but I did manage to video the rest.
After she enjoyed her few jelly beans, she told me "That was a silly joke mommy."

Early on St. Patrick's Day, we went over to Pirate's Cove. Hailey and Hunter like crossing the new bridge and running around in the open areas around the barn. I wanted to get a cute picture of them both on the bridge. Hunter had other plans and wouldn't remain in one place long enough for me to take a good picture. So I just asked Hailey to pose like a model. Hunter loves doing everything she does so he posed right along with her on the bridge. These are their moves!
