TO ALL THOSE INFECTED WITH THE YUCKY BUG,
Hailey says, "I hope you get well. And I love you Michael. And Kelsey I love you so much that I hope you don't get a bug that was outside now. I love Smokey and I made a pretty snowman for Smokey too. And for Grammy I love her so much that she can't believe it. That's everything that I want to say."
Love,
Hailey Rae Tucker

Boomer Sooner Shout-Outs!
I had to post Hunter and Hailey saying Boomer Sooner during the OU game Saturday for everyone. Hunter is stripped down because he was finishing up his KFC laptop meal and he gets quite messy with that mac & cheese! Hunter takes one of his socks off and I mention his piggies which makes Hailey want to be silly. Hunter likes the piggy discussion and wants Hailey to play with him. Hailey is busy working on a drawing booklet that came with a meal. Hunter interrupts her and they do their typical "arguing" as of lately!
Door Swing
Who needs a swing when you have a door?
I went to the kids bedroom to put up laundry and was gone less than a minute when I found Hunter doing this! He was as happy as could be. The video is dark. He had both hands on the door handles and was swinging back and forth riding the door! Then he managed to make a little hole into the wall with the door knob button. Apparently it had been done before because there is a patch hole there. Got to make another one now and attach a door stopper to the base board. Silly boy!

Toto Basket
Grammy,
Do you still happen to have the basket for "Toto" when Kelsey was Dorothy for Halloween? The other day, Hailey got a Madam Alexander doll in her happy meal. It happened to be Dorothy. She then told me that was what she wanted to be for Halloween. So we went and got her a Dorothy costume and red sparkle shoes at Target today. If you happen to have it still, may we borrow it? She is super excited to be Dorothy!

For Your Viewing Pleasure!
Funny thing is now she can't stand and I stress CAN'T STAND butter. About 6 months ago, she decided one day she just didn't like butter. So since she doesn't like jelly, honey or syrup her toast, pancakes and waffles are eaten Plain Jane!
This morning her toast made a flying leap out the deck door. She told me she wanted some butter on her toast so I put a small amount on it. Apparently she wanted a fingertip amount and sat at the table forever stressing out about it. She nibbled on the edges. I think a mouse would have taken more bites than she did. Out of frustration, I wound up throwing it out the door after it landed on the floor in the laundry room. She was carrying it around by now.
I could really care less if she likes butter or not and it is probably a good thing she doesn't. It was just the fact that I made it for her and she was being a pickle. She has a hard time trying new and even "old" types of food. I hope over time it will change and I can stop stressing out about it!
* I did apologize to her for throwing the bread. A nice little black kitty had a fine breakfast though!

Brady Tactics - Day 3
I don't use the microwave all that often. The other day I warmed up some homemade mashed potatoes to eat for lunch. Well I got side tracked and didn't remember I even warmed them up. Apparently this happens a lot because when I forget, Brady leaves these lovely little reminders to show me what I have done! Nice hugh?
I am thinking...
1. I need a better method to remember things.
2. I need to come up with a good "tactic" for him!
* Those brown chunks in the potatoes are the skins. Looks so yucky!
* When food usually gets left in there it is because I have warmed up some food in the first place for dinner, put the bowl back in to keep it warm until after dinner. We eat. I clean up dinner. Forget about the food left in the microwave!

"Bye, Bye Choo-Choo!"
Hunter loves trains. We had to stop for one yesterday on the way home. He kept saying "Bye,Bye Choo-Choo" and waving. I even heard a "Goodbye". Had to share!

Hunter's Scream
I tried to capture his scream while driving home from the grocery store this afternoon. (I wasn't on the highway and Brady has noted that I filmed for 1 minute and 51 seconds. It was over my shoulder- promise). He quit most of it when I turned on the camera but here is a taste! The last little scream is from Hailey. Take this sample and multiply it over and over and that is what it sounded like in the grocery store!

Keeping the H's
They are so precious!!!
Camey took Brady out to dinner for his 36th Birthday. Fokey and Gam Gam kept the H's.
Hunter was napping when we arrived, so Hailey and I played with her letters. When Hunter woke up, he looked for his Mom, dragged his blanket around, but never cried. Just looked - in the bedroom, in the kitchen, and out the front window. He was fine as Fokey kept hiding around corners and making funny sounds - you all know those sounds.
Then, Hailey got Hunter's pizza and put it on the table. Hailey is such a good Mother! He didn't want to eat, he wanted his bup. I tried to get him to eat pizza and also tried a peanut butter and jelly sandwich - not happening! He took a bite of the pizza and left it sticking out of his mouth on his tongue. I removed it. He never tried the sandwich but he thought it was interesting. We let him play for awhile. He and Hailey helped Smokey put together a computer chair. Hunter was really into helping with that! Hailey was playing with her magnetic paper dolls. Hunter took the trash from the chair up the stairs and put it in a pile. Since he hadn't eaten anything, I went for the fruit roll-up thing - his supposed to be snack. He loved that! He took me to Brady's computer area and pointed to the scissors - had to have them to open the snack. When he ate below the cut line, back to the computer and scissors. He dropped a piece on the floor picked it up to eat - well, got a carpet fiber in his mouth - stuck his tongue out for me to fix it. All was fine - until the 1st ugly diaper. I haven't changed those in years, but I did it. Hunter was sort of freaked out by my gagging and runny eyes. Then, he did it again! I was better, but told Fokey he owned me big for the diaper changes! I will be collecting! Thinking a fabulous vacation! LOL I don't think Hunter had room in his little body for food - no wonder he couldn't eat!
Miss Hailey and I played dolls - those babies were everywhere! We changed their clothes, fed them, put them in the stroller - well, we had a mess when the parent's returned!!!
Oh, to live in the burbs!! Hunter saw a kitty/hippohonomous on the back deck. We all went to look. Kelsey, Hunter will be as confused as you! A littler later, the Shartel Raccoon Family appeared - looking happy and healthy. As we arrived to Jessie James, there was a flock of wild turkeys parading around the neighborhood. What fun!
The parent's came home, the kids hugged them, and we had 36 Birthday cake.
Pics are uploading on my Flickr page - not great, but they work.

Raccoon Release
A Week of Raccoons!

A few nights ago I was talking to Kelsey on the phone and noticed 2 eyes outside - it was a raccoon holding onto the tree drinking nectar from the hummingbird feeder. Mentioned it to Brady and he said they just had a family a raccoons on their back porch. Posted the silly raccoon story on my quilt board and the lady from Indiana posted pics of raccoons eating in her cherry tree. So, Smokey gets home to water running down the walls and stairs - you all know the story. He bought traps and hopes he caught them all! A Mom and 2 babies - hungry and thirsty. Here's a pic of the 2 babies.

Jumping Hunter
This was what Hunter was doing over the weekend at the lake house. He was way up past his bedtime and silly! The video cut off at the end. Guess you can only post so much video on blogger. He wound up taking a nice crash at the end!

Capture the Hunter
Hunter is learning to "Get-Over-It" or "Get Used To It" when people try to hold him now. He got a few of those opportunities this past weekend. Hopefully a few more rounds of capture the Hunter will make him feel more comfortable when other people hold him. His sweet smile just makes me want to give him loves!
A Family Update Spot
Today I decided we needed our own family blog so we can all leave messages to each other and post pictures. I have no idea what to call it so feel free to change the name and edit whatever. I added you all as authors so post away. I used the email addresses that I remembered. I think Michael and Kelsey use a different email address though so let me know if those don't work and I will add a better one. I enjoyed being with you all on the 4th of July. Thanks for the great time!
